LITTLE ROCK BACKGAMMON CLUB
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read carefully. By registering for any Little Rock Backgammon Club event, you agree to be bound by these terms & conditions.
Players are expected to act in the spirit of good etiquette and in accordance with the US Backgammon Federation Tournament Rules.
The Little Rock Backgammon Club is a privately run organization and reserves the right to refuse entry to any event with no reason required.
All fees paid onsite must be in cash, US currency only.
Eligibility for events is subject to approval, entrants will not be allowed to play below their playing level.
Please bring you own clock, board, and other equipment. Tournament Directors have some spare equipment available.
- All events are legal moves. Any questions, please refer to the 'illegal moves' section of the USBGF rules.
- Dice landing on a checker is legal. Any questions, please refer to the 'valid rolls' section of the USBGF rules. Interpretation of the rule may use USBGF guidance.
- Clock settings are defined in each event. 'Clock required' means clock must be used. 'Clock preferred' means clock will be used if either player requests it and provides their own clock. Standard clock setting is 2 min/point with 12 second delay.
- Players may use a baffle box, but may not impose their use on another player.
- Use of two dice over four dice: Players are obligated to share two dice for Little Rock Backgammon Club events. In backgammon tournament rules, players share two dice to ensure fairness and prevent any potential advantage from one player having a better view of the dice roll. When playing with a clock, sharing dice allows both players to quickly see the roll and plan their next move without unnecessary delays. Most backgammon tournaments enforce the rule of sharing dice to maintain consistency across matches. If not using a clock, tapping the center bar indicates the end of a player's turn.
- Players are allowed to take pictures of their board during a match. Players should declare their final decision before taking a picture. Additionally, players shall not use photographic aids like GammonSnap. If any questions arise during a match, stop play, pause the clock and call one of the Tournament Directors.
- The Little Rock Backgammon Club reserves the right to stream and/or record any match. By registering, you consent to appear in promotional materials, pictures and/or video.
- Using your own unobtrusive equipment, you may stream and/or record you own matches. This privilege may be revoked if it creates undue noise or interferes with the smooth running of the tournament. The recording or streaming of matches other than your own assigned match requires pre-approval from one of the Tournament Directors.
- Promoting or selling products or services is not allowed without prior approval from one of the Tournament Directors.
- All players are welcome and encouraged to provide input to management. If any player is not having a great time at the tournament, please contact one of the Tournament Directors to address your particular concern.
